A new Amazon Prime docuseries, "Shiny Happy People: Duggar Family Secrets," explores the rise to fame of the Duggar family and their connections to the ultraconservative Christian organization, the Institute in Basic Life Principles (IBLP). The four episodes feature interviews with daughter Jill Dillard and her husband, Duggar family friends, and former IBLP believers, arguing that Josh Duggar's crimes were a reflection and a product of a wider culture of abuse, both within the family and the religious group they belonged to.
