Jada Pinkett Smith revealed in an interview with People magazine that she and her husband Will Smith were separated for six years before the Oscars incident where Will slapped Chris Rock. Pinkett Smith also opened up about her struggles with depression and her use of the psychedelic drug ayahuasca. She shared that she had abandoned her mental health when she met Will but later experienced intense pain and even contemplated suicide. Taking ayahuasca helped her develop a new relationship with herself, and she revealed that both Will and their adult children have also tried it.
