Matthew Perry's Last Public Post Reveals the Meaning of "Mattman"

Matthew Perry, known for his role in Friends, was found dead at age 53. Perry had a fascination with Batman and had plans for a project called "Mattman" which he believed would be his comeback vehicle. Despite struggling with health issues and addiction, Perry was cast in the film Don't Look Up, but his condition deteriorated on set and he was ultimately cut from the film. Perry's pitch for "Mattman" offered insight into his mindset, and while director Adam McKay suggested a show about Perry's struggles with addiction, Perry had no interest.
