'Red One': A Festive Action Comedy That Misses the Mark
TL;DR
"Red One" is a Christmas action comedy starring Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans, directed by Jake Kasdan. The film, which blends holiday themes with action-packed sequences, features J.K. Simmons as Santa, who is kidnapped just before Christmas. Johnson's character, Callum Drift, teams up with Evans' Jack O'Malley to save the day, encountering various Christmas legends along the way. The movie embraces its absurdity and campiness, offering a family-friendly experience with a touch of self-aware humor, and hints at the potential for a holiday action franchise.
