The Battle for Box Office Supremacy: Barbie vs Oppenheimer

As the highly anticipated films Barbie and Oppenheimer are released simultaneously, Barbie is expected to surpass Oppenheimer in ticket sales despite the latter's higher critical ratings. Barbie is estimated to earn $110m at the US box office during opening weekend, while Oppenheimer is set to take in $50m. Barbie has already earned $22.3m in box office previews, the highest figure of any film this year. Greta Gerwig's Barbie is on track to break the record for the biggest domestic opening for a female director.
