TL;DR

Despite receiving positive reviews, The Flash's opening box office numbers are worse than Black Adam's. The film is seen as a last stand for the DC Universe, but audiences seem less excited to see it, possibly due to controversy surrounding lead actor Ezra Miller. The Flash is set to reset the entire franchise, but its disappointing opening weekend is not what Warner Bros. and DC were hoping for.
