Mortal Kombat 1 introduces new core mechanics that add a layer of creativity to the game, including an emphasis on air combos and Kameo characters who act as support when summoned. The Kameo characters have three moves which depend on the direction on the D-Pad being pressed when they're summoned and can be inserted into a combo seamlessly. The game also features classic Fatalities and a fresh start for the franchise's story. Mortal Kombat 1 launches on September 19.
