Fortnite players who were charged for in-game currency for unwanted items, had unauthorized charges made by their children, or had their accounts locked after complaining about wrongful charges between January 2017 and September 2022 may be eligible for a refund as part of a settlement between Epic Games and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). The FTC accused Epic Games of using deceptive tactics to trick players into making unintentional purchases, resulting in a $245 million settlement. The specific amount of each payout is yet to be determined, and claims must be filed by January 17, 2024.
