Sony's PlayStation Portal: Preorder, Price, and Release Date Revealed

Sony has announced that the PlayStation Portal streaming handheld will be launched on November 15 in select markets, with preorders currently open. The device, which retails for $199.99 / £199.99, requires a PlayStation 5 to function as it streams the entire PS5 system to the handheld. Preorders will be available from other select retailers on September 29, and additional retailer availability will be announced later. IGN's preview of the device suggests that while it may not be a primary way to play PS5 games, it offers a compelling use case for playing in a different room or when the TV is in use.
