Texas Family Held at Gunpoint by Police in Case of Mistaken Identity

Body camera footage released by the Frisco Police Department shows a Black family in Texas being held at gunpoint after a typo led officers to wrongly believe their car was stolen. The officers demanded the family exit the vehicle, with one officer pointing a gun at a child and handcuffing him. The officer later admitted to incorrectly identifying the license plate as being from Arizona instead of Arkansas. The police chief apologized for the incident and promised accountability and transparency. The department is conducting a review to prevent similar incidents in the future.
