Sidney Powell Pleads Guilty in Georgia Election Subversion Case, Flips on Trump

Former Trump attorney Sidney Powell has pleaded guilty in the Georgia election subversion case, admitting her role in the breach of election systems in Coffee County. She is recommended to receive six years probation, testify at future trials, pay restitution and fines, and turn over documents. Trump, a co-defendant, was not mentioned in the plea documents. Powell had peddled conspiracy theories about election fraud after the 2020 election. She is the second person to plead guilty in the case, while the other defendants, including Trump, have pleaded not guilty. Powell is also facing legal troubles in a federal election subversion case and defamation lawsuits from voting technology companies.
