Trump's Legal Maneuvers Backfire as Georgia Prosecutor Pushes for Speedy Trials

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, who is prosecuting the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump and 18 others, has requested that defendants granted speedy trials be tried together. Willis also asked the judge to set a deadline for defendants to file requests to sever their cases. So far, only two defendants have requested a quick trial, with only one trial scheduled for late October. Willis opposes severing the cases and argues that all defendants should be tried together, or at least on the same date.
