Gunman killed as downtown Minneapolis shooting injures several, including officers

Seven people were hospitalized after a shooting near the Shoreline Plaza (Loring Towers) by the Minneapolis Convention Center; one victim died and the gunman was killed, while two police officers were injured and in stable condition. Authorities closed the area and later lifted shelter-in-place/lockdowns as the FBI and state officials assist the investigation.
