They appeared on the "Today" show before officially claiming their prize and decided to go public to "control" the story. The Robinsons took the lump sum of over $327 million before taxes and used the money to pay off debts, including their daughter's student loans, and splurge on family members. They also purchased a $6.2 million, 10-bedroom home on a 320-acre lot with a private lake.
