Muscle Memory: Jacob Batalon Recounts Spider-Man Handshake Return in Brand New Day
TL;DR
Jacob Batalon says Ned and Peter Parker’s secret handshake, created spontaneously before Spider-Man: Homecoming, returns onscreen in Brand New Day with the ease of muscle memory. Batalon notes they’ve done the move since 2017, and it reappears as a warm, reconnecting moment between friends. The interview also mentions Ned’s “Spidey Tracker” app tied to Samsung Galaxy devices used in the film, and Brand New Day is performing strongly at the box office, briefly noted as having a record-opening weekend for the franchise.
