Wildfires force tourists to evacuate Greek islands

Tour operators are repatriating holidaymakers as wildfires continue to rage on the Greek island of Rhodes, with the threat of further fires high across the country. The fires, which have been burning since Wednesday, have forced the evacuation of 19,000 people on Rhodes and also led to evacuations on the island of Corfu. Tourists have spent the night on the airport floor, waiting for repatriation flights, while some have had to organize their own return flights.
