"Last Pearl Harbor Survivor, Dick Higgins, Dies at 102"

Richard C. "Dick" Higgins, one of the few remaining survivors of the attack on Pearl Harbor, has passed away at the age of 102. He was a radioman assigned to a patrol squadron of seaplanes based at the Hawaii naval base during the Japanese attack on December 7, 1941. Higgins was known for his humility and dedication to sharing his stories about Pearl Harbor, World War II, and the Great Depression with younger generations. He is survived by two children, two grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
