House GOP leaders are planning to vote on their debt plan, which includes spending cuts and conservative policy changes, as soon as Wednesday. The plan was revised in the wee hours of the morning to satisfy more than a dozen Republicans threatening to defect. While at least two Republicans remain opposed to the bill, dozens of others steadily fell in line behind the tweaked plan on Wednesday morning. With just four votes to spare, assuming full attendance, GOP leaders need almost their entire conference on board with the debt plan.
