Honduras to switch diplomatic ties from Taiwan to China.

Honduran President Xiomara Castro has asked the country's foreign minister to establish official relations with China, potentially cutting ties with Taiwan ahead of President Tsai Ing-wen's visit to the United States and Central America. If Honduras ends relations with Taiwan, it will leave the island with only 13 diplomatic allies. The move risks further reducing Taiwan's pool of allies, as Paraguay may also cut ties with Taiwan and open relations with China if the opposition wins the presidential election in late April.
