Michigan Court Upholds Trump's Placement on Primary Ballot

The Michigan Court of Appeals has rejected challenges to former President Donald Trump's inclusion on the state's 2024 Republican primary ballot, stating that the decision of who appears on the ballot is determined by political parties and individual candidates. The court did not address whether Trump's role in the Capitol attack disqualifies him under the insurrection clause of the 14th Amendment. Similar to a decision in Minnesota, the ruling may be appealed to the U.S. Supreme Court.
