TL;DR
South Carolina Rep. Nancy Mace finished last in the GOP gubernatorial primary with 12.1% and then posted a cryptic baked beans photo on X, joking that she has ‘other plans’ than ice cream after the loss and nodding to a viral 2024 meme. Gavin Newsom mocked the moment, and Mace later attributed her defeat to her support for releasing Jeffrey Epstein files, despite Trump’s opposition, doubling down on prosecuting predators as Trump endorsed Pamela Evette in the race.
