Roberts' Refusal to Testify Condemned by Democrats in Supreme Court Ethics Row.

Democrats and progressives criticized Chief Justice John Roberts for declining an invitation to testify before the Senate judiciary committee about corruption allegations against members of his court. Roberts cited concerns regarding the separation of powers and attached a statement of ethics and principles and practices to which all current members of the supreme court subscribe. Democrats including Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have called for Justice Clarence Thomas to be impeached and removed. Public trust in the court has reached all-time lows.
