Carmelo Anthony Calls It Quits After 19 Seasons in NBA

Carmelo Anthony, one of the greatest scorers in NBA history, announced his retirement after 19 seasons. Anthony, who last played for the Los Angeles Lakers in April 2022, spent the final few seasons of his career in more limited roles. He played for six teams during his career and ended with 28,289 total points, good for ninth in NBA history. Anthony won three Olympic gold medals and one bronze. He became increasingly outspoken on social issues, including police violence, after appearing in a homemade video titled “No Snitching” early in his career. In his retirement video, Anthony said that his legacy now and forever lives on through his son.
