Jrue Holiday Traded to Celtics in Deal with Blazers

The Portland Trail Blazers have traded guard Jrue Holiday to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Robert Williams III, Malcolm Brogdon, a 2024 first-round pick, and a 2029 unprotected first-round pick. Holiday was initially part of the deal that sent Damian Lillard to the Milwaukee Bucks, but Portland intended to build around its young guards. Boston beat out other teams to acquire Holiday, and they are reportedly interested in keeping him long-term. The Blazers continue to accumulate assets after trading Lillard, and there is interest in trading Brogdon for more assets.
