Amazon Prime Video Introduces AI-Generated Show Recaps

Amazon has introduced "X-Ray Recaps," a generative AI-powered feature on Prime Video that provides spoiler-free summaries of TV shows, including entire seasons, single episodes, and parts of episodes. Initially available in beta for Fire TV users in the U.S., the feature is part of the existing X-Ray service and will expand to more devices by year-end. It uses custom AI models to analyze video content and is personalized to the viewer's current watching point. This launch follows Google's similar AI-generated summaries for TV shows and movies.
