Anthropic's Claude AI: Advanced Bot Creation and Tool Integration

Anthropic has introduced a new feature for its AI chatbot Claude, called "tool use" or "function calling," which allows users to create personalized AI assistants for tasks like email management and online shopping by connecting to external APIs. This tool can also analyze visual data for applications such as virtual interior design. Available through Anthropic’s Messages API, Amazon Bedrock, and Google Vertex AI, the service is priced based on text volume processed. Beta testing since April has shown promising applications, including a personalized AI tutor.
