LinkedIn Implements Second Round of Layoffs, Cutting Over 600 Jobs

LinkedIn, the professional social networking platform owned by Microsoft, is cutting about 668 jobs, or roughly 3 percent of its workforce, in its second round of layoffs this year. The cuts will affect LinkedIn's engineering, product, talent, and finance teams. The company cited the need to streamline decision-making and invest in strategic priorities as reasons for the job cuts. This follows a previous round of layoffs in May, where 716 employees were let go. Other tech giants, including Google, Meta, Amazon, and Microsoft, have also reduced their workforces this year.
