YouTube Explores New Generative AI Tools for Enhanced User Experience

Google is testing two new generative AI features for YouTube. The first feature organizes long comment threads into themes or topics to facilitate conversation, while the second feature provides conversational AI that can answer questions about the video being watched, offer related content suggestions, and even provide quizzes for academic videos. These features are currently being tested by a select number of YouTube users, with YouTube Premium subscribers having the option to opt in. Google emphasizes that these AI features are experimental and feedback is being collected to improve them.
