Brussels Gunman Targeting Swedish Football Fans Shot Dead by Police

A suspected Tunisian extremist, accused of killing two Swedish soccer fans in Brussels, has been shot and killed by Belgian police. The attack, which occurred near the Roi Beaudouin stadium where Belgium was playing Sweden for Euro 2024 qualification, has been labeled an "act of terrorism" by Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo. The soccer match was suspended following the shooting. Belgian authorities have implemented stricter border controls while the suspect was still at large.
