Vehicle breach prompts lockdown at California military base.

Naval Air Station North Island, part of Naval Base Coronado, was put on lockdown after a vehicle drove through the main gate without stopping. The driver was taken into custody and multiple gates were closed while security personnel checked the facility. The incident is being investigated by the Coronado Police Department and military police. This is not the first security incident at the same gate, as in February 2022, a motorist was found with bomb-making materials.
