BBC Verify confirms verified video showing the wreckage of a Saudi F-15 allegedly shot down by Houthi forces in western Yemen near Marib. The incident is described by experts as a propaganda coup that highlights the Houthis’ growing military capability, with satellite imagery pinpointing the crash site 25 miles west of Marib and the crew’s fate still unknown. The clash comes amid a broader escalation in the Yemen conflict and attacks on Saudi targets.
