Pakistani zoo's sick elephant dies after medical procedure.

Noor Jehan, a sick elephant at a Pakistani zoo, has died after a critical medical procedure performed by a team of international veterinarians. The procedure was done to assess several medical issues the elephant was facing, including a large hematoma in her abdomen and a broken pelvis. Despite efforts to save her, Noor Jehan died after an accident in her enclosure left her unable to stand up on her own. Animal welfare organization Four Paws has called for the remaining elephant at the Karachi Zoo to be transferred to a more species-appropriate location.
