"Bombed-Out Zoo Bear Finds New Home in Scotland"

Yampil, an Asiatic black bear, was rescued from a bombed-out zoo in Ukraine by Ukrainian troops and has found a new home in Scotland's Five Sisters Zoo. Nearly all the other animals at the zoo died from starvation or were killed during the fighting. Yampil was taken to Belgium to recuperate and is now a healthy 440-pound bear enjoying his new Scottish surroundings. Zoo keepers are hopeful that the 12-year-old bear will have peaceful years ahead.
