"Rare Six-Legged Dog Undergoes Life-Changing Surgery"

Ariel, a six-legged dog found abandoned in a supermarket car park, has undergone surgery to remove her extra limbs. The 11-week-old spaniel, named after Disney's Little Mermaid, had two surplus back legs, an additional vulva, and only one kidney, making her medical treatment complex. Surgeons managed to save all four of her working limbs, and she is now recovering well at Langford Vets Small Animal Referral Hospital in Somerset. After several weeks of physiotherapy and recovery, she will be looking for a forever home, thanks to the support and donations from people all over the world.
