European Tourists Arrested for Gang Rape of British Woman in Spain

Five French tourists and one Swiss tourist have been arrested by Spanish Civil Guard police for allegedly gang-raping an 18-year-old British woman in Magaluf, a popular party destination in Mallorca. Video clips of the alleged rape were found on one of the suspects' phones. This incident follows a similar case in mid-July where six young German men were arrested for the alleged rape of an 18-year-old German woman in a hotel on the island. The suspects have not been formally charged yet, and the investigation is ongoing. Gang rape is considered a serious crime in Spain and can carry sentences of up to 15 years in prison.
