George Santos strikes deal with prosecutors in Brazilian fraud case.

Prosecutors in Brazil have agreed to a non-prosecutorial agreement with Rep. George Santos, who is accused of defrauding a clerk of $1,300 over clothes and shoes in 2008. Santos would formally confess to the crime and pay damages to the victim, as required under Brazilian law. The agreement was requested by Santos' attorney, who argued that Santos is now gainfully employed and "re-socialized." Santos had previously told police he wrote bad checks to purchase the items.
