Kenyan Cult Death Toll Reaches 90 as Survivors Found Traumatized.

Kenyan police have recovered 89 bodies from mass graves in a forest in eastern Kenya, believed to be linked to a cult that allegedly encouraged its followers to starve themselves to gain salvation. The Good News International Church allegedly taught its members that they would go to heaven if they starved themselves. The leader of the cult, Paul Mackenzie Nthege, was arrested after police received a tip-off that his vast land on the Shakahola forest in the Kilifi County of eastern Kenya contained mass graves. Survivors recovered from the site were "very weak and traumatized."
