Man indicted for killing student with thallium in Japan.

Kazuki Miyamoto, a real estate agent, has been indicted for murdering a female acquaintance, Hinako Hamano, with thallium, a soft metal used as rat poison. Thallium was also found in his female relative, who has been in a coma since 2020. Police have not found a motive or how he obtained the poison. Miyamoto is believed to have administered thallium to Hamano by lacing her drink when they were alone at her flat. Thallium is strictly regulated in Japan, and just 1g of it could kill an adult.
