Serbia experiences two mass shootings in two days.

A gunman in a moving car opened fire on passers-by in a town south of the Serbian capital, killing at least eight people and injuring 13. The incident took place near the town of Mladenovac, some 50km south of Belgrade. The 21-year-old attacker used an automatic weapon to shoot randomly at people. The shooting comes a day after a 13-year-old boy killed eight of his schoolmates and a security guard in a central Belgrade school. The Balkans is among the top regions in Europe in the number of guns per capita, and Serbia is awash with weapons left over from the wars of the 1990s.
