Teenagers' Plot to Murder Trans Teen Brianna Ghey Exposed in Thousands of Messages

Two 15-year-old teenagers, referred to as Girl X and Boy Y, were found guilty of plotting and carrying out the murder of Brianna Ghey in Culcheth Linear Park in Warrington. The teenagers exchanged thousands of text messages discussing their plans, including various methods of killing other individuals before settling on stabbing Brianna. The motive for targeting Brianna remains unclear. The court heard that both defendants had been diagnosed with neurodivergent conditions. They will be sentenced next month.
