The Tragic Kenyan Starvation Cult: Stories of Brainwashing and Death

Scores of bodies have been discovered in a remote forest in Kenya, with the leader of the Good News International Church, Pastor Paul Nthenge Mackenzie, accused of encouraging followers to starve themselves to death. Relatives of the deceased are now waiting for news of their loved ones, with over 400 people, including 227 children, thought to have some connection to the church missing. Former members of the church have said they were forced to starve as part of their adherence to its teachings, and there are fears the death toll could rise as more of the forest is searched.
