Topeka Police Chase Ends in Arrest of Suspect.

A police chase in Broome County ended with the arrest of a 22-year-old suspect, Houston S. Alexander, who was charged with multiple misdemeanors. Alexander was driving his girlfriend's grandmother's Jeep Cherokee at speeds exceeding 100 mph, and refused to pull over when signaled by a deputy. The chase was called off due to the danger it posed to the public, but Alexander was later apprehended after a collision with a deputy's patrol car and a foot pursuit that ended with a Taser being deployed. No injuries were reported.
