Verdict reached: Multiple convictions in Brussels terror attacks trial

Six out of ten suspects have been found guilty of "terrorist murder" in the 2016 Brussels attacks, which killed 32 people and injured over 300. The trial, Belgium's largest ever, aimed to determine the involvement of 10 men in the suicide bombings. ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks, which targeted Brussels airport and a metro station. Belgium had been a focus for counterterrorism officials due to the high number of Belgian foreign fighters joining ISIS and other terror groups in Syria and Iraq.
