Aid groups rush to help Ukraine after dam disaster.

Maryna, Valentyna, and Viktor, who escaped Russian occupation in their southern Ukrainian village, were rescued from catastrophic floods that have devoured much of their surrounding area. They were stranded and waiting for help until a boat passed by and rescued them. The eastern bank has seen the worst of the flooding, and hundreds of people have been posting on the Telegram app asking to be rescued. Dozens of people across Ukraine have responded with their addresses and an offer to provide accommodation after their rescue. Ukraine's military says it has been co-ordinating rescues from the eastern bank, but claimed "fearless volunteers" were carrying out some of the evacuations.
