Yemen's Houthi rebels claim that 17 fighters have been killed in US and British attacks, following public funerals in Sanaa, as the US and UK have been targeting Houthi targets in Yemen since mid-January to stop their attacks on ships in the Red Sea. The rebels, who control much of war-torn Yemen, have been targeting vessels linked to Israel in response to the war on Gaza. The US plans to designate the Houthis as a terrorist group unless they cease their attacks on ships in the Red Sea.
