International Efforts to Evacuate Citizens Amid Sudan Violence

The first flight carrying British nationals evacuated from Sudan has landed in the UK, with four more flights expected to depart throughout the day. The British government has evacuated 301 people so far, with the majority being British nationals. Tens of thousands of people, including foreign nationals, are trying to flee Sudan amid a tenuous ceasefire between the country's army and a rival paramilitary group. Many are being repatriated by air, while others are trying to reach safety in neighbouring countries via overland routes.
