Tragic Teenager Left to Perish in Freezing Water as Police Neglect Duty

Two police officers allegedly abandoned a 15-year-old boy, Marcel Wochna, in freezing water after he jumped in to avoid arrest. Marcel's body was found a day later, and an inquest heard that he was scared of getting in trouble with his mother. The officers had found Marcel trespassing on a boat, and when he resisted arrest and leapt into the river, they handcuffed his friend and left Marcel alone in the water. The friend stated that the officers did not check on Marcel's well-being and instead focused on searching him. The inquest is ongoing.
