Lincoln braces for multiple street closures starting Monday

Lincoln Transportation and Utilities announced four street closures beginning Monday: Centennial Mall between M and N streets is closed for private crane work through Oct. 9 (M and N will remain open); left turns from 56th Street to Cornhusker Highway and from Cornhusker Highway to 56th Street are prohibited through Oct. 2 as part of a street-improvement project; Van Dorn Street between 98th and 112th streets closes for paving through early November with detours via 98th Street or 148th Street to Old Cheney Road; eastbound O Street between 11th and 12th streets closes Oct. 2 (Wed–Fri) for utility work, with Eleventh and 12th Streets remaining open. Travelers are advised to seek alternate routes and check lincoln.ne.gov/closures or Waze for updates, as dates may change.
