Desperate Search for Children as Colombian River Overflows

At least 14 people, including several children, have been killed and a dozen others are missing after a river burst its banks in Quetame, Colombia, causing mudslides that swept away homes. The rising water levels also destroyed a bridge connecting Bogotá with Villavicencio. Heavy rainfall led to the sudden surge in the river's level, and the worst affected area is Naranjal, where 20 homes were destroyed. Rescue workers are conducting search operations while heavy machinery is being used to clear the affected road.
