"Reykjanes Volcano Erupts, Spewing Lava in Iceland"

A volcano in Iceland erupted for the fourth time since December, spewing smoke and bright orange lava into the air and prompting the evacuation of the nearby Grindavik fishing town. The eruption, located on the Reykjanes peninsula just south of Reykjavik, caused a state of emergency to be declared for the area. The nearby Blue Lagoon luxury geothermal spa closed its doors, and authorities are concerned about potential long-term volcanic activity, as the eruptions are occurring in a seismic and volcanic hot spot.
